Hudson Valley Neurology is committed to the prevention and treatment of Neurological Disorders.

Services

Our doctors have a depth and breadth of experience that is unsurpassed. The team at Hudson Valley Neurology have developed significant expertise and skill in treating the following conditions:

Headaches, neck pain, back pain, brain injury, stroke, multiple sclerosis, seizure disorders, tumors, neuromuscular diseases, cerebral palsy, nerve pain, attention deficit disorder, a broad range of movement disorders (including treatment of Parkinson's disease), as well as comprehensive behavioral neurology (including memory disorders).

For patients with hyperactive neurological disorders (such as Cervical Dystonia, Hemifacial Spasm, Blepharospasm, Limb Dystonia, and Spasticity), we provide diagnostic and therapeutic treatment.  This means we will evaluate and design a treatment plan for these patients and will work with referring physicians to assist in their care. We are using both botulinum A (BotoxTM) and botulinum B (MyoblocTM) toxin, and we are evaluating new treatments as they become available.  Electromyographic guidance is available in selected patients. See our link in our FAQ, for more information (What is the Botox clinic?)

Also, advanced techniques for testing of the carotid arteries are provided; and our group also has Transcranial Doppler facilities for assessing the condition and competency of intracranial vessels.  Electrodiagnostic services provided include EEG, EMG, and motor and sensory nerve conduction studies. We have specially trained physicians and staff to administer and interpret these tests.
